Vassar Vulcans (Vassar, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Unionville-Sebewaing Patriots (Sebewaing, MI), 41-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vassar upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Vulcans travel to Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI) to play the Hatchets in a Greater Thumb - West bout on Wednesday, February 15. The Hatchets come into the bout with a record of 13-2.

Next up, the Patriots play the Laker Lakers (Pigeon, MI) in a Greater Thumb - West bout, on Friday, February 17. Unionville-Sebewaing will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record.
