Leland Comets (Leland, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Kingsley Stags (Kingsley, MI), 41-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Leland upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Comets host Bear Lake (Bear Lake, MI) to play the Lakers in a West Michigan D bout on Monday, February 13. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 3-12.

Next up, the Stags play the Onekama Portagers (Onekama, MI) in a Northwest bout, on Friday, February 17. Kingsley will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record.
