Polk County Wildcats (Benton, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sweetwater Wildcats (Sweetwater, TN), 38-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Polk County upgrades its record to 16-10 on the campaign.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Roane County Yellowjackets (Kingston, TN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. Sweetwater will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 48-30 non-league win over Scott (Huntsville, TN).
