Castle View Sabercats (Castle Rock, CO) fans left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their ice hockey team hold off the visiting Cherry Creek Bruins (Greenwood Village, CO), 3-2 in a non-league match.

The Sabercats (7-10) will now prepare for their match against Chatfield (Littleton, CO). The Chargers enter the 5A South match with a 3-12 record. In their last match, Chatfield was nipped by Kent Denver (Englewood, CO), 5-2, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Bruins clash with the Monarch Coyotes (Louisville, CO) in a 5A Metro match, on Saturday, February 11. Cherry Creek will attempt to advance on its 10-5 season record. The Coyotes enter the match with a 9-5 record after their 4-3 league loss to Ralston Valley (Arvada, CO).
