Delta Eagles (Muncie, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN), 51-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Delta upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Rushville (Rushville, IN) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Rushville won 45-42 in their recent league bout against Batesville (Batesville, IN)

Next up, the Trojans play the Pendleton Heights Arabians (Pendleton, IN) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 14. New Castle will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Arabians come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 56-49 non-league loss to Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN).
