Ohio High School Basketball - Hopewell-Loudon holds off Mohawk
February 10, 2024: Sycamore, OH 44882 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) and the host Mohawk Warriors (Sycamore, OH), saw Hopewell-Loudon's basketball squad hold off Mohawk by a tally of 46-44.
With the victory, Hopewell-Loudon improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to Woodmore (Elmore, OH) to confront the Wildcats in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Friday, February 16. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 5-14. Woodmore lost 71-50 in their recent league challenge against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH)
Next up, the Warriors confront the New Riegel Blue Jackets (New Riegel, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Mohawk will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Blue Jackets come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 69-34 league win over Danbury (Lakeside, OH).
