Ohio High School Basketball - Hopewell-Loudon tops New Riegel
December 16, 2023: New Riegel, OH 44853 Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host New Riegel Blue Jackets (New Riegel, OH), 55-45 in a league bout.
With the victory, Hopewell-Loudon upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Old Fort (Old Fort, OH) to play the Stockaders in a Sandusky Bay - River bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Stockaders come into the bout with a record of 5-0. Old Fort won 57-43 in their recent league bout against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH)
Next up, the Blue Jackets play the Lakota Raiders (Kansas, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River bout, on Tuesday, December 19. New Riegel will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 53-25 league loss to Calvert (Tiffin, OH).
