Connecticut High School Basketball - Pomperaug nudges Northwestern Regional
February 10, 2024: Winsted, CT 06098 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) basketball squad nipped the host Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT), by a margin of 52-50.
The Panthers (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Newtown (Newtown, CT). The Nighthawks go into the Southwest outing with a 11-7 record. In their last outing, Newtown got by Masuk (Monroe, CT), 84-67, in a league outing.
The Highlanders now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sports & Medical Sciences Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 13. Northwestern Regional will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 64-25 league win over East Granby (East Granby, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 15-3.
