New Jersey High School Basketball - Morris County Tech holds off Verona
February 10, 2024: Denville, NJ 07834 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Morris County Tech Devils (Denville, NJ) and the visiting Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ), saw Morris County Tech's basketball squad hold off Verona by a tally of 28-26.
With the victory, Morris County Tech improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Devils travel to Somerset Tech (Bridgewater, NJ) to confront the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 12. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 1-16.
Next up, the Hillbillies confront the Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ) in a Super Essex - American challenge, on Monday, February 12. Verona will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 39-29 non-league loss to Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ).
