Virginia High School Basketball - Winston-Salem Christian National tops Shining Star Sports Academy

February 10, 2024: Petersburg, VA 23803

Winston-Salem Christian National Lions (Winston-Salem, NC) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Shining Star Sports Academy Panthers (Petersburg, VA), 62-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Winston-Salem Christian National upgrades its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Lions host T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC) to play the Red Raiders in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a record of 18-3. T.W. Andrews lost 58-40 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Oak City Prep (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Shining Star Sports Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 18-3 season record. The come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 75-43 non-league loss to Grace Christian (Sanford, NC).
