Virginia High School Basketball - River View triumphant over Council
February 10, 2025: Council, VA 24260 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the River View Raiders (Bradshaw, WV) and the host Council Cobras (Council, VA), observed River View's basketball team overwhelm Council by a margin of 71-26.
The Raiders (4-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Man (Man, WV). The Hillbillies come into the non-league challenge with a 12-6 record. In their last challenge, Man trounced Sherman (Seth, WV), 46-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cobras battle the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a Black Diamond challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Council will attempt to better on its 2-13 season record. The Golden Wave come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 76-38 league win over Hurley (Hurley, VA).
