Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Charles Catholic bests Academy of Our Lady
February 10, 2025: Marrero, LA 70072 The St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) basketball toppled the host Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), 36-26 in Monday's league bout.
The Comets now possess a 17-11 record. They play next when they travel to Willow for a 4A District 9 bout on Thursday, February 13. St. Charles Catholic will play a Lions team coming off a 44-33 non-league win over St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA). The Lions record now stands at 11-8.
With the loss, Academy of Our Lady falls to 7-17 on the campaign. The Penguins travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA) to play the Swamp Owls in a 4A District 9 bout on Thursday, February 13. The Swamp Owls go into the bout with a record of 13-19. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy won 57-30 in their recent league bout against Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA)
