Michigan High School Basketball - Merrill thwarts Ithaca
February 10, 2025: Merrill, MI 48637 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI) and the visiting Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI), observed Merrill's basketball team knock off Ithaca by a score of 45-37.
The Vandals (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Beal City (Mt. Pleasant, MI). The Aggies come into the non-league challenge with a 8-10 record. In their last challenge, Beal City was knocked off by Manton (Manton, MI), 61-55, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Yellowjackets encounter the Valley Lutheran Chargers (Saginaw, MI) in a Tri-Valley - West Blue challenge, on Friday, February 14. Ithaca will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 59-26 non-league loss to Oscoda (Oscoda, MI).
