In Tuesday's league contest, the host Thurston Eagles basketball team scored a big 90-16 triumph over the Melvindale Cardinals.

The Eagles (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Redford Union (Redford, MI). The Panthers go into the Western Wayne contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Redford Union smashed Romulus (Romulus, MI), 62-42, in a league contest.

Next up, the Cardinals face the Annapolis Cougars (Dearborn Heights, MI) in a Western Wayne contest, on Thursday, February 12. Melvindale will attempt to better on its 3-15 season record.
