The Vinton County Vikings basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Wellston Golden Rockets to 26 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washington for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 12. Vinton County will battle a Blue Lions team coming off a 41-39 non-league loss to Miami Trace (Washington Courthouse, OH). The Blue Lions record now stands at 10-3.

The Golden Rockets (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against River Valley (Bidwell, OH). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 3-6 record.
