Illinois High School Basketball - Saint Viator can't hold off Taft
February 11, 2023: Chicago, IL 60631 The Taft Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Saint Viator Lions to 55 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 19-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Downers Grove North for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 14. Taft will battle a Trojans team coming off a 52-40 league win over Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 24-3.
The Lions (13-17) will now prepare for their contest against St. Patrick (Chicago, IL). The Shamrocks enter the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 16-10 record. In their last contest, St. Patrick nudged Northside (Chicago, IL), 54-32, in a non-league contest.
