Big Bay de Noc Black Bears (Cooks, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Mackinac Island Lakers (Mackinac Island, MI), 56-26 in a league bout.

With the victory, Big Bay de Noc upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Black Bears travel to Mid Peninsula (Rock, MI) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 2-9. Mid Peninsula lost 54-35 in their recent non-league bout against Engadine (Engadine, MI)

Next up, the Lakers play the Whitefish Township Rockets (Paradise, MI) in a Freelance bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Mackinac Island will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
