Nebraska High School Basketball - Kearney nips Columbus
February 11, 2023: Kearney, NE 68845 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Kearney Bearcats (Kearney, NE) and the visiting Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE), saw Kearney's basketball squad hold off Columbus by a count of 46-43.
With the victory, Kearney upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Fremont (Fremont, NE) to play the Tigers in a A District TBD challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 9-11. Fremont lost 77-37 in their recent league challenge against Pius X (Lincoln, NE)
Next up, the Discoverers play the Lincoln Southeast Knights (Lincoln, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-12 record after their 62-58 league loss to Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE).
