New York High School Basketball - Holy Cross toppled by Our Lady of Mercy Academy

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Our Lady of Mercy Academy Mustangs (Syosset, NY) and the host Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY), saw Our Lady of Mercy Academy's basketball squad knock off Holy Cross by a tally of 63-50.

With the victory, Our Lady of Mercy Academy improves its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY) to play the Firebirds in a Catholic - Long Island challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Firebirds come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Kellenberg Memorial lost 66-43 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Joseph Hill Academy (Staten Island, NY)

Next up, the Knights play the Kennedy Catholic Gaels (Somers, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 13. Holy Cross will attempt to improve on its 11-10 season record. The Gaels come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 73-58 league loss to St. Joseph Hill Academy (Staten Island, NY).
