February 11, 2025: Decatur, IL 62526 Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Unity Christian Lions (Decatur, IL), 53-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Arcola advances its record to 20-6 on the year. The Purple Riders host Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL) to face the Blue Devils in a Lincoln Prairie match on Friday, February 14. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 5-18. Villa Grove lost 68-50 in their recent league match against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL)
The Lions now own a 11-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cumberland for a Lincoln Prairie match on Friday, February 14. Unity Christian will face a Pirates squad coming off a 44-34 league win over Sullivan (Sullivan, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 19-9.
