Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), 73-66 in a league match.

With the victory, Chambers advances its record to 15-8 on the year. The Cougars host Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Mavericks in a 3A/4A Queen City match on Friday, February 14. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 12-11. Mallard Creek won 75-44 in their recent league match against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)

The Lions now own a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Mecklenburg for a 3A/4A Queen City match on Friday, February 14. West Charlotte will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 62-53 league win over Hopewell (Huntersville, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 21-2.
