The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), observed Mountain Pointe's basketball team overcome Desert Mountain by a score of 59-45.

The Pride (17-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Vipers come into the non-league challenge with a 14-9 record. In their last challenge, Verrado defeated North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ), 80-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the Arizona College Prep Knights (Chandler, AZ) in a 5A East Sky challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Desert Mountain will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 7-17 record after their 47-43 league win over Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ).
