California High School Basketball - Mid-Peninsula thwarts KIPP Esperanza

The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mid-Peninsula Dragons (Menlo Park, CA) and the host KIPP Esperanza Eagles (Palo Alto, CA), observed Mid-Peninsula's basketball team knock off KIPP Esperanza by a score of 59-44.

The Dragons (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Stratford Prep (Campbell, CA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Stratford Prep dropped by Calvary Christian Academy (San Jose, CA), 57-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Mountain View Academy Mustangs (Mountain View, CA) in a Private School - North challenge, on Thursday, February 13. KIPP Esperanza will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 66-49 league loss to Kehillah (Palo Alto, CA).
