Wisconsin High School Basketball - Mellen overwhelms Lac Courte Oreilles
February 11, 2025: Mellen, WI 54546 The Mellen Granite Diggers basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles to 27 in the Granite Diggers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Granite Diggers now possess a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Bayfield for a Northern Lights game on Friday, February 14. Mellen will confront a Trollers team coming off a 80-62 league win over Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Trollers record now stands at 14-5.
With the loss, Lac Courte Oreilles falls to 5-14 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Winter (Winter, WI) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Thursday, February 13. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 2-17.
