Kansas High School Basketball - West Elk can't hold off Flinthills
February 11, 2025: Howard, KS 67349 Flinthills Mustangs (Rosalia, KS) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host West Elk Patriots (Howard, KS), 35-29 in a league match.
With the victory, Flinthills advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Caldwell (Caldwell, KS) to face the Bluejays in a South Central Border match on Friday, February 14. The Bluejays enter the match with a record of 3-14. Caldwell lost 30-18 in their recent league match against Argonia (Argonia, KS)
The Patriots now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Burlingame for a non-league match on Thursday, February 13. West Elk will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 68-7 non-league win over Bishop Seabury Academy (Lawrence, KS). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-12.
