February 11, 2025: Johnstown, PA 15905 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) and the host Bishop McCort Crushers (Johnstown, PA), witnessed Hempfield Area's ice hockey team defeat Bishop McCort by a final score of 9-4.
The Spartans (9-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA). The Ramblers come into the challenge with a 22-12 record. In their last challenge, Cathedral Prep got by Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA), 6-4, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Crushers battle the Greater Latrobe Wildcats (Latrobe, PA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Bishop McCort will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 3-1 league loss to Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA).
