The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) and the host Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), observed Thomas Stone's basketball team overcome Calvert by a margin of 53-44.

The Cougars (7-10) will now prepare for their challenge against North Point (Waldorf, MD). The Eagles enter the Southern Maryland match with a 7-11 record. In their last match, North Point thwarted Northern (Owings, MD), 64-50, in a league match.

The Cavaliers now own a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chopticon for a Southern Maryland match on Friday, February 13. Calvert will meet a Braves squad coming off a 61-51 league loss to Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Braves record now stands at 2-12.
