The Ayersville Pilots (Defiance, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Montpelier Locomotives (Montpelier, OH), 48-40 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Pilots (16-4) will now prepare for their test against Kalida (Kalida, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 8-11 record.
