Iowa High School Basketball - Ames knocked off by Valley
February 12, 2024: West Des Moines, IA 50266 The Valley Tigers basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Ames Little Cyclones to 47 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tigers now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roosevelt for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 15. Valley will battle a Roughriders team coming off a 78-41 league win over Lincoln (Des Moines, IA). The Roughriders record now stands at 14-4.
The Little Cyclones (16-7) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 6-16 record. In their last contest, Southeast Polk was defeated by Waukee (Waukee, IA), 91-53, in a league contest.
