Iowa High School Basketball - Ankeny nips Valley
February 9, 2024: Ankeny, IA 50021 Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Valley Tigers (West Des Moines, IA), 76-72 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Ankeny upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Hawks travel to Valley (Elgin, IA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Valley won 76-62 in their recent non-league bout against Waukee (Waukee, IA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 15. Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 78-41 league win over Lincoln (Des Moines, IA).
