Vermont High School Basketball - North Country Union tops Lyndon Institute
February 12, 2024: Newport, VT 05855 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT) and the visiting Lyndon Institute Vikings (Lyndon Center, VT), saw North Country Union's basketball squad knock off Lyndon Institute by a count of 45-34.
With the victory, North Country Union upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Montpelier (Montpelier, VT) to play the Solons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 14. The Solons come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Montpelier won 82-50 in their recent league challenge against Randolph (Randolph, VT)
Next up, the Vikings play the Lamoille Lancers (Hyde Park, VT) in a Capital challenge, on Wednesday, February 14. Lyndon Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 42-32 league win over Thetford Academy (Thetford, VT).
