Chatham Central Bears (Bear Creek, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 68-59 in a league match.

With the victory, Chatham Central upgrades its record to 19-3 on the year. The Bears travel to North Moore (Robbins, NC) to face the Mustangs in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina match on Friday, February 14. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 5-16. North Moore lost 80-48 in their recent league match against Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC)

The Jets now sport a 8-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Graham for a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina match on Friday, February 14. Jordan-Matthews will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 78-33 league loss to Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-19.
