Louisiana High School Basketball - Destrehan knocks off De La Salle
February 12, 2025: New Orleans, LA 70115 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA) and the host De La Salle Cavalier (New Orleans, LA), observed Destrehan's basketball team overcome De La Salle by a score of 70-55.
The Wildcats (21-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA). The Trojans come into the 5A District 8 bout with a 4-16 record. In their last bout, Central Lafourche fell by Hahnville (Boutte, LA), 51-10, in a league bout.
With the loss, De La Salle falls to 16-8 on the campaign. The Cavalier travel to Cabrini (New Orleans, LA) to play the Crescents in a 3A District 10 bout on Thursday, February 13. The Crescents go into the bout with a record of 10-20. Cabrini won 46-29 in their recent league bout against Ursuline Academy (New Orleans, LA)
