Louisiana High School Basketball - Destrehan triumphant over St. Mary's Academy
January 13, 2025: New Orleans, LA 70126 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA) and the host St. Mary's Academy Cougars (New Orleans, LA), observed Destrehan's basketball team overwhelm St. Mary's Academy by a margin of 64-27.
The Wildcats (15-9) will now prepare for their challenge against East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, East Ascension was trounced by Hahnville (Boutte, LA), 49-35, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. St. Mary's Academy will attempt to better on its 3-12 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 73-39 non-league win over St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA).
