Michigan High School Basketball - Ewen-Trout Creek triumphant over L'Anse
February 12, 2025: Ewen, MI 49925 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers (Ewen, MI) and the visiting L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI), observed Ewen-Trout Creek's basketball team overwhelm L'Anse by a score of 61-37.
The Panthers (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI). The Gladiators come into the Copper Mountain challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Ontonagon trounced Watersmeet (Watersmeet, MI), 57-14, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Purple Hornets battle the Jeffers Jets (Painesdale, MI) in a Copper Mountain challenge, on Monday, February 17. L'Anse will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Jets come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 33-28 league loss to Chassell (Chassell, MI).
