Michigan High School Basketball - L'Anse thwarts Hancock
February 20, 2025: Hancock, MI 49930 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the L'Anse Purple Hornets (L'Anse, MI) and the host Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI), observed L'Anse's basketball team knock off Hancock by a score of 51-37.
The Purple Hornets (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Linden-Hubbell (Lake Linden, MI). The Lakes come into the Copper Mountain challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Lake Linden-Hubbell dropped by Calumet (Calumet, MI), 67-50, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 21. Hancock will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Hematites come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 65-27 league win over Manistique (Manistique, MI).
