North Carolina High School Basketball - North Edgecombe holds off Weldon
February 12, 2025: Weldon, NC 27890 In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting North Edgecombe Warriors basketball team scored a close 44-38 triumph over the Weldon Chargers.
The Warriors (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Pride go into the 1A Tar Roanoke contest with a 0-18 record. In their last contest, KIPP Pride was tipped by Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC), 66-17, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Chargers confront the Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke contest, on Thursday, February 13. Weldon will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Jaguars go into the contest with a 7-12 record after their 50-9 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC).
