North Carolina High School Basketball - North Stanly nips Albemarle
February 13, 2024: New London, NC 28127 North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), 76-69 in a league bout.
With the win, North Stanly upgrades its record to 18-5 on the season. The Comets travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to play the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout on Thursday, February 15. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the bout with a record of 19-4. South Stanly won 85-29 in their recent league bout against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout, on Monday, February 19. Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 3-20 season record.
