Southwest Guilford Cowboys (High Point, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), 80-72 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southwest Guilford upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Cowboys travel to Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to play the Vikings in a 4A Metro bout on Friday, February 16. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 9-11. Northwest Guilford lost 53-52 in their recent league bout against Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC)

Next up, the Whirlies play the Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) in a 4A Metro bout, on Friday, February 16. Grimsley will attempt to upgrade on its 17-5 season record. The Nighthawks come into the bout with a 16-7 record after their 70-57 league win over Page (Greensboro, NC).
