Kentucky High School Basketball - Leslie County knocked off by Prestonsburg
February 13, 2024: Prestonsburg, KY 41653 The Prestonsburg Blackcats basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Leslie County Eagles to 60 in the Blackcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Blackcats now sport a 14-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Betsy Layne for a District 58 contest on Saturday, February 17. Prestonsburg will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 69-66 non-league loss to Breathitt County (Jackson, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 14-13.
The Eagles (14-12) will now prepare for their contest against Perry County Central (Hazard, KY). The Commodores enter the District 54 contest with a 16-11 record. In their last contest, Perry County Central was defeated by Boyd County (Ashland, KY), 88-72, in a non-league contest.
