Kentucky High School Basketball - Franklin County nips Montgomery County
February 13, 2024: Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) and the host Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY), saw Franklin County's basketball squad hold off Montgomery County by a tally of 67-63.
With the victory, Franklin County improves its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Flyers host Ryle (Union, KY) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 15. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 18-8. Ryle won 51-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY)
Next up, the Indians play the Bourbon County Colonels (Paris, KY) in a District 40 challenge, on Friday, February 16. Montgomery County will attempt to improve on its 16-8 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 7-18 record after their 42-34 non-league loss to Bracken County (Brooksville, KY).
