The Gate City Blue Devils basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Union Bears to 39 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Wise for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 15. Gate City will battle a Warriors team coming off a 48-35 league win over Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 18-4.

The Bears (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against Virginia High (Bristol, VA). The Bearcats enter the non-league contest with a 12-9 record.
