South Dakota High School Basketball - Wessington Springs overwhelms Hitchcock-Tulare
February 13, 2025: Wessington Springs, SD 57382 The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots to 31 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Spartans now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hanson for a non-league game on Saturday, February 15. Wessington Springs will confront a Beavers team coming off a 76-55 non-league loss to Freeman (Freeman, SD). The Beavers record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Hitchcock-Tulare falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Patriots host Aberdeen Christian (Aberdeen, SD) to confront the Knights in a B Region 1 game on Monday, February 17. The Knights go into the game with a record of 12-4. Aberdeen Christian won 49-36 in their recent non-league game against Ipswich (Ipswich, SD)
