West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence crushes Summers County
February 13, 2025: Coal City, WV 25823 The Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) basketball crushed the visiting Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), 77-35 in Thursday's league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 15. Independence will play a Raiders team coming off a 67-58 league loss to WestSide (Clear Fork, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 5-9.
With the loss, Summers County falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Bobcats host River View (Bradshaw, WV) to play the Raiders in a Coalfield A bout on Friday, February 14. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 4-10. River View lost 54-52 in their recent non-league bout against Man (Man, WV)
