Texas High School Softball - San Benito sneaks past Zapata
February 13, 2025: Zapata, TX 78076 The San Benito Greyhounds (San Benito, TX) softball nipped the host Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX), 3-2 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Greyhounds now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo for a non-league outing on Friday, February 14. San Benito will encounter a Bears team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Harlingen (Harlingen, TX). The Bears record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Zapata moves to 0-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league outing on Saturday, February 15. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 1-1. Edinburg North won 12-2 in their recent non-league outing against Rowe (McAllen, TX)
