In Friday's league test, the Gateway College Preparatory Gators (Georgetown, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Salado Eagles (Salado, TX), by a score of 60-49.

Next, the Gators encounter the Lampasas Badgers (Lampasas, TX) in a 4A Region III District 24 test, on Tuesday, February 17. Gateway College Preparatory will attempt to improve on its 18-11 season record. The Badgers come into the test with a 26-8 record after their 77-48 league win over Burnet (Burnet, TX).

The Eagles (25-7) will now prepare for their battle against Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX). The Mustangs enter the 4A Region III District 24 battle with a 11-19 record. In their last battle, Marble Falls was outscored by Burnet (Burnet, TX), 57-50, in a league battle.
