New Mexico High School Basketball - Artesia holds off Portales
February 14, 2023: Portales, NM 88130 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) and the host Portales Rams (Portales, NM), saw Artesia's basketball squad hold off Portales by a tally of 69-64.
With the victory, Artesia improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Goddard (Roswell, NM) to confront the Rockets in a 4A District 4 challenge on Friday, February 17. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 12-13. Goddard won 53-42 in their recent league challenge against Lovington (Lovington, NM)
Next up, the Rams confront the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a 4A District 4 challenge, on Friday, February 17. Portales will attempt to improve on its 15-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 53-42 league loss to Goddard (Roswell, NM).
