February 14, 2023: Beardstown, IL 62618 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL) and the host Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL), saw Lewistown's basketball squad hold off Beardstown by a tally of 57-50.
With the victory, Lewistown improves its record to 17-11 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Midwest Central (Manito, IL) to play the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 11-16. Midwest Central lost 67-53 in their recent league challenge against Hartsburg-Emden (Hartsburg, IL)
Next up, the Tigers play the Routt Catholic Rockets (Jacksonville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 16. Beardstown will attempt to improve on its 14-16 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 24-3 record after their 45-42 non-league loss to Eureka (Eureka, IL).
