Minnesota High School Basketball - Pine River-Backus nudges Blackduck
February 14, 2023: Pine River, MN 56474 Pine River-Backus Tigers (Pine River, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN), 51-49 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pine River-Backus upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Tigers host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN) to clash with the Wolves in a A Section 5 bout on Thursday, February 16. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley lost 87-51 in their recent non-league bout against Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN)
Next up, the Drakes clash with the Red Lake Warriors (Red Lake, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 16. Blackduck will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 99-50 league win over Laporte (Laporte, MN).
