Sandy Pioneers (Sandy, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gresham Gophers (Gresham, OR), 50-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Sandy upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Pioneers host Central Catholic (Portland, OR) to clash with the Rams in a 6A Mt. Hood bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 7-12.

Next up, the Gophers clash with the Reynolds Raiders (Troutdale, OR) in a 6A Mt. Hood bout, on Thursday, February 23. Gresham will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record.
